Brown Skies

If you've lived in Texas for a summer or two, you know about our brown skies. They're not something we brag about. They're not something that makes us smile. They mean the weather hasn't quite been going the way we hoped it would. When your car or truck has a dusty film on it, chances are you haven't washed it in the last week or so. So, when our Texas Skies are hazy and brown...that means..well, they haven't been washed in a while...or, it hasn't rained. Now take our dry countryside and add south or southwest winds at 20-30 miles per hour? Ta-Daa! Brown skies. In fact, there have been a few evenings already this year when our western skies were so dusty, the sun became obscured to the point it looked like a full moon just above the horizon. we'll have a chance to wash the sky Friday, but if it doesn't rain...its may a while before rain chances return. We dont need this in May
